Project Budget
The Fundraising target is £700,000. This will allow sufficient finding to purchase the necessary site, construct and fit out the building and also provide enough working capital for the first year of operation of the new facility.
To date, funding of £350,000 has been secured with other initiatives currently in train which are expected to realise an additional £150,000 for the project. This coupled with the funds generated from Founder Members Club contributions will ensure the project will become a reality. The main financial supporters of the project to date include; SWARD Rural Development Programme, Fermanagh District Council, St Naile’s Church, the Big Lottery Fund, The Quinn Group, Kinawley GAA Club as well as a number of local private donations already made.
Fundraising
The Association has now finalised its detailed fund-raising programme for the full project. With £350,000 already secured from Government agencies and existing funds and with a number of applications still at the assessment stage, the first major voluntary component will be the launch of Founder Members Club on 29th November 2010. This initiative will run throughout the period of the build and is expected to generate £200,000 in voluntary donations. In the meantime we are more than delighted to receive any donations and you can be assured that these will be put to good use and are of even greater benefit at this early stage of the project. Some relatively painless way to contribute at this stage might include the following:
- Remembering the Association, which is now a registered charity, in your will
- Considering making a donation to the project instead or wreaths or flowers at funerals within the parish
- Perhaps those planning for marriage or other celebrations within the Community could suggest that donations be made to the project in lieu of presents
The website now allows donations to the project to be made securely and directly to our bank account. You may also make donations by contacting the Chairperson, Secretary or Treasurer as listed below. All donations at this time are gratefully received and will be fully recorded and accounted for. An official receipt will be given for all donations made. In principle we have a policy to recognize all contributions but please also be assured that privacy will be fully respected if requested.
We were delighted to receive sponsorship from QUINN-Insurance of €16,000 (£13,760) through its annual Charity Pro-Am Golf tournament which was held in the Slieve Russell in May. The Association would like to express its sincere appreciation to QUINN-Insurance and the QUINN-group for this sponsorship. This in addition to the £5,500 collected at the GAA Gala Ball in December has helped greatly in getting our fundraising off to a good start.
